Fon is the largest wifi community in the world. They gave me a router for free, so I finally chucked my five-year-old Linksys and holy shit, everything is so much faster now! Leave a comment if you'd like me to have Fon send you an invite for a free router (that'll run you 40 bucks otherwise).

cecile, thanks! I got it on iStockPhoto, which is a great resource for when I need textures or random photos for projects.
FON won't send you a free router (mahal ng shipping and lack of demand, siguro) but according to FON Maps, there are a handful of registered hostpots in Luzon; if you have a compatible router it's supposed to be easy to set up, it might be a good thing to do.
