Ask MeFi: Hear that? Is my MacBook dying? The asker included an mp3 of the sound, which is exactly what I hear from my MacBook Pro—fortunately a) people say it's a busted fan and b) I have AppleCare. Time to make a repair appointment!
Fon is the largest wifi community in the world. They gave me a router for free, so I finally chucked my five-year-old Linksys and holy shit, everything is so much faster now! Leave a comment if you'd like me to have Fon send you an invite for a free router (that'll run you 40 bucks otherwise).
